Had a very nice stay during my holidays, glad I've chosen it. All the employees were caring. the hotel was in an absolutely incredible position just next door to all the main attractions and the center. Centro district was worth staying in.

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay, it was such great during my holidays. The staff was very-very nice, I'm grateful for their help. The location was marvellous and good: a market and shops were within walking distance. The hotel was located minutes away from an underground station.

Gentle staff and cosy rooms. Incredible location next to all the main attractions in Madrid. Easy to get to, close to Opera station, San Miguel Market, and many restaurants. City centre location for a truly nice stay during my holidays.

The stay here was REALLY NICE during my holidays. The excellent and amazing location was very close to Main Square. I found it in a good area close to downtown as well as tourist spots such as the Opera, Palace, Plaza del Sol, Mercado de San Miguel.

Location is great, the lady who manages the hostal, Ms Matilde, is really nice and welcoming. The room was sparkly clean and conformable, our bathroom had a window too. Everything is quite basic, but all details looked cared of. It's great value for money.
We had the room opposite the front door, and I was woken up a couple of times by people coming back late at night, my boyfriend wasn't, so I guess it's very subjective. Also having an afternoon nap proved impossible for me because of people talking loudly in the building

The location is very good, near the Opera metro station, also the owner is very nice.
Although the location is very good, even great, I do not think the price for this hostel is justified - we stayed in another place in Madrid, a huge apartment, for much cheeper. In Hispalense there wasn't even toilet paper on the second day of our stay, although the room itself is clean. The room is small and pretty noisy, second floor and no elevator.

Excelent position in the city center. The room was very small. The window in the court only. For young people or short stay to visit Madrid center is the position realy exelent ( underground few steps, city center also... ) very good price, nice personal, but not english speaking...
late in the night some people made nois, it wasn´t possible to change the aria in the room

The hostal is perfectly situated and it is its main advantage. It is in fact a big appartment which was reorginised into hotel/hostel. So it is in 3-rd floor of the building and it has common hall and kind of leaving room for guests with some magazines and informational booklets.Host gives you 3 keys: from room, from entrance to appartment and from the main entrance to building. The lady who accomodated me was very pleasant and kind to provide me with umbrella (which is very actual in Madrid because it rains quite often in April).
That the view from the room was into other windows on the distance of 1 m.
